Periodic Table of Political Interference in Science

The Union of Concerned Scientists are documenting cases of political manipulation, suppression and distortion of scientific data by the federal government. They are also documenting cases of systematic attempts to limit public and policy maker access to scientific information relevant to the implementation and analysis of scientifically-informed legal policy.

The individual elements in this periodic table have links to reports dealing with the specifics of the particular situation highlighted by the element, complete with scientific research documentation. There are four major categories being covered: the environment, public health, pollution and contamination, and national security.

The Union of Concerned Scientists is composed of more than 10,000 scientists, including 52 Nobel Laureates.
