In my opinion, religion is getting more and more obsolete in our society, and the more educated people are, the less there is a dependence on religion. Well, maybe religion isn't obsolete, but rather its function is evolving as society changes. And just as schools teach us about all the different forms of government from all over the world throughout history, religion could be taught in the same manner - not as instilling beliefs and a way of life on the students, but teach it more from a historical perspective. I don't intend for religion in schools to be a means for an individual to choose which religion would be best for him/her, but as an educational tool to teach students to be more open-minded and tolerant of each other, and ultimately to understand the world a little better. <BR/><BR/>Now, if only people would be open-minded enough to accept that stand point.Laurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14494279825685982987noreply@blogger.com
