You may have noticed in the past that narcissistic and narrow-minded celebrities and athletes tend to attribute their victories to God. Of course, they don't seem to notice that while they're hogging all of God's short attention span, millions of people all over the world are suffering and dying from lack of divine intervention. That's okay, though... celebrities and their petty needs
are more important.
Anyway, when Steve Johnson failed to catch a game-winning touchdown pass during overtime last week, he knew just who to blame :)
.
It never ceases to amaze me that all atheists spend countless hours writing and talking to disprove the existence of God. Why disprove what does not exist in their minds? God seems to be more in the minds of the atheists than in the believers
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't cease to amaze me that you interpret any entries that have to do with the idea of God that the purpose is to 'disprove' the existence of God.
ReplyDeleteIn any case, as a philosopher, it's my job to think about this topic, as it is to think about the nature of consciousness, metaphysics, the limits of knowledge, logic, etc.
It also doesn't seem to amaze me that the only entries you seem to pay attention to are the ones that have to do with God. How about all the entries on physics, chemistry, biology, humor, ethics, astronomy, philosophy, history, politics, biography, documentaries, etc? Seems rather unfair to focus exclusively on a minority section, no?
Anyway, the funny thing is that the point of this particular entry has to do with the way people's own beliefs are inconsistent with each other. It says nothing about God himself :)
chemistry, methaphysics, history and politics are so above me... I would never be able to scramble the words to make any sense out of them.
ReplyDeleteBut I'll be looking for the humor and will comment accordingly.
