The
Large Hadron Collider is all over the news this week. It is the largest scientific piece of equipment ever built, and the hope is that, by recreating the conditions immediately after the Big Bang through the acceleration and collision of protons traveling close to the speed of light, we should be able to answer some fundamental questions about physics and the nature of matter.
