In the tradition of Carl Sagan, the following documentary, narrated by Morgan Freeman, beautifully demonstrates the birth, growth and evolution of our universe, from the moment of the Big Bang to the formation of stars, galaxies and even our own planet. Once on earth, it would take a while for the right chemical combinations to produce complex life, but it eventually happened, and one of its results was the evolution of a kind of creatures that would seek to understand the cosmos itself: us.
Before this wonderful journey, however, the documentary will take you on another journey, to understand the kinds of measurements scientists use to study the vast distances of outer space, as well as the tiny spaces found inside cells and even subatomic particles.
This is a great time to be alive, isn't it?
