Today's fascinating and amusing documentary presents one of the most intimate views of elephants ever seen. Applying what we might call a biological principle of uncertainty: the idea that the very act of observation can alter the thing observed (in this case the observers being people), Attenborough and his crew came up with a really clever and amusing way of hiding small remote-operated cameras among a family of elephants such that they would not notice they were being watched.
Had you ever seen a male elephant's 'fifth leg'? Holy cow, those things are scary!!!
