Perhaps no thinker in the history of humanity has been as misunderstood as Nietzsche has (and the trend continues to this day). His work Thus Spoke Zarathustra was so badly interpreted by the Nazis, for instance, that they thought they found in it the ultimate philosophical justification for their ideology of racial superiority and its subsequent antisemitism.
