Evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins paid a visit to Stephen Colbert last night to promote his latest book, The Greatest Show on Earth: The Evidence for Evolution.As it was to be expected, the visit quickly turned into a hilarious debate in which Colbert beautifully illuminated the misconceptions presupposed by those who don't get evolution, and hence opened the door for Dawkins to clarify :)

Humor, and keeping Dawkins completely off guard was a great approach for Colbert. I have leaned through watching the clips on this blog that these guys are formidable. They are so well versed in the subject matter that if you are not prepared, you will get your ass kicked in a major way. It is a pleasure to watch professionals at work. I am sick and tired of the garbage that i see on television(O'Reilly ) where no one can get a word in edgewise, ad hominem attacks are the rule, and the host is an adult version of a schoolyard bully.
