Happy Birthday, Pavarotti...

As most people remember Columbus' day today, whether they celebrate the discovery of America or condemn the inhumanity to which it led for Native Americans and other minorities, I'd like to commemorate Luciano Pavarotti's birthday. He would have turned 72 today.

Of course, I can't sing happy birthday to him without it sounding offensive due to my squeaky voice, so instead I'm posting the following video of a rendition of Schubert's Ave Maria, sung by Pavarotti himself.

I'm used to this song being sung by sopranos, but that was indubitably awesome. Happy birthday, maestro!
