Super Size Me!

We are the fattest nation in the world! If Somalians ever decide to organize themselves, and they're hungry enough, they could just come to the U.S. and feast on chubby nation: Fat of the land!

Here is the full Morgan Spurlock's celebrated Academy Award-nominated documentary, Super Size Me, which follows Spurlock's attempt to live on a diet consisting exclusively of McDonald's food for 30 days.

I enjoy Spurlock's work. However, I can't help but wonder how the results would have ultimately varied if he had decided to make all his super-sized drinks diet. It's obvious that the exaggerated amounts of sugar he ingested were going to have a significant deleterious impact on his health and weight, and since McDonald's does offer diet alternatives, it becomes difficult, if not impossible, to determine how much of his weight change was due to McDonald's actual food and how much to regular sugar-saturated soda.
