I'd Like to Thank Jesus... Not!

A while ago I posted an entry about a student of mine who complained that people who earn awards thank the lord for the help, but no one blames him for the bad things that happen to them (sounds like a great deal, if you're God).

Well, apparently the Emmy awards show took place recently, and comedian Kathy Griffin basically told Jesus to suck it, so I'm guessing my student is feeling quite content now... Below is the video of her 'shocking' acceptance speech, followed by the sobering thought that, although she's a bit of an attention whore, she's not so self-centered as to suppose that God has nothing better to do than help her win some silly award...
