Ken Miller on Evolution vs Intelligent Design Theory

The following is a great lecture delivered by Ken Miller, from the Molecular Biology, Cell Biology and Biochemistry department at Brown University, on the scientific merits of the Evolution vs Intelligent Design debate. What makes this lecture particularly interesting is that Miller, a very well respected scientist, is also a very devout Christian.

Although he believes in God, Miller rips intelligent design theory apart in this highly entertaining and educational lecture by showing: the scientific data that supports evolutionary theory, the scientific data that falsifies many creationist empty catchy phrases such as irreducible complexity, and the intellectually dishonest propagandist tools employed by creationists to fool others into buying into their unscientific beliefs. Miller also shows that people who believe in God are better off also believing in evolution; this is because the alternative would entail believing in a deceiving God, and who wants to do that?

Miller is the author of Finding Darwin's God: A Scientist's Search for Common Ground Between God and Evolution, and three major biology textbooks, which are read by millions of students in high school every year.
